My Neighbour Bought A Gun

My neighbor bought a gun, guess I’d better get one too

He seems a little edgy, no telling what he plans to do

Then I’ll feel safer, I’ll go on my merry way

And I can sit in my home protected all night and day

Maybe I should go out and pick one up for my car

Then I’ll feel safer in case I have to go very far

Who knows what could happen if I get stuck on some lonely street?

At least I’ll have one up on anybody I might meet

(ch) the little voice says…

Pick it out, slap it down, load it up, lots of rounds

Pack it up, go to town, line ‘em up, mow ‘em down!!

Maybe while I’m there, I’ll pick one up for the wife

She’ll probably never use it but one day it might save her life

I’d better get one each for my daughter and my son

Just so they’re safe when they’re playing in the summer sun

I’ll get one for the kitchen, the bathroom, the bedroom, the den

Then I’ll be ready for anything, it doesn’t matter when

We’ll lock all our doors and windows, we won’t let anyone in

And if there’s any trouble, we’ll be sure to win

If there’s any trouble, we’ll be sure to win

My neighbor bought a gun, guess I’d better get one too
